My parents told me that from my childhood, I always wanted to do something extra ordinary.

To excel in extra curricular activities: I still remember, while studying in my 7th grade I had taken part in an elocution competition at a public platform. And since then I stood first in such competitions in my school as well as during my college days. I also had won the Inter Collegiate Competition.

I was the Senior Under Officer (U/O) of the National Cadet Corps of our college.
Represented Kerala State NCC Contigent at the National Republic Day Parade at New Delhi in 1965,
Played Hockey for our college team and I was also the Captian of our College Hockey team.

To be an Engineer. As I grew up I had a dream to study for engineering and to become an Engineer. Initially the luck wasn’t with me.I could not study for engineering. but I never gave up. After a long detour, finally I became a qualified Engineer. How? Click here…

A Dream Job. I always had a dream about my profession after completing my studies. And that too on my merits and without any kind of recommendations. Finally I got my dream profession, as a Commissioned Officer in the Indian Army – which is the top class category of Government profession in our country, India.

My Dream Girl: I always had a Dream girl in my thoughts, who will have all qualities that I look for to be the the best choice for me as my life partner. It was during 1966 that I spotted my dream girl. Our friendship continued and after a long wait of four years we got married on April 27, 1970. Another Dream come true.

My Own Conveyance: Now that I had a profession and married, it was time that I dream about my own conveyance. Being a Commissioned officer in the army, it was easier for us to get a two wheeler thorough our army canteen stores department (CSD) at a much lesser rate than in the market. Thus I bought my first two wheeler, a Bajaj Super scooter, availing a financial assistance from the bank, making my another dream into a reality. Today, I have my fourth bike, a Honda Twister, 100 CC bike, the other two bikes were, Jawa 250 CC 1968 model and Bajaj Kawazaki 125 CC, 1995 model. I love riding my motor bikes and I still ride my bike.

I owned my first car in 1984. later I changed my car in 2004, again in 2012 and in 2014. Now I have one car and a motor bike And I love driving my car and ride my bike even now @ 70 years plus.

Dreams about My Family: After getting married, it is always our desire to begin our ‘Family Life’. Like everyone, we also had dreams about out a beautiful family, a healthy family, ideally with two children – a girl and a boy. And We were very lucky. we have one girl child and the second a boy child. Since ‘Knowledge is Wealth’ we wanted to give them very good education, which would eventually help them to find their dream profession. We also had dreams about our future life with both our children settling down in their lives, thus building our family tree. I must say, we are a blessed couple. We have two children, elder- a girl child and the younger -a boy child.

We always pursued and worked hard to make our Dreams into a Reality and we consider ourselves very lucky that our Dreams are getting realized one by one.

We were able to provide our children very good education. Later Both of them got good professions of their liking, with good carrier prospects. The happiest moments were when both our children got married to their Dream Spouse during June/ July 2006. As of now, our daughter and son-in-law are settled down in Begium and our son and daughter-in -law are settled at Bangalore. And we are enjoying our retired family life at our home town , Thrissur, wtih our pet dogs, Bruno and Lyka.

My Dream House: Constructing our own Dream House was one of my biggest Dreams of my life. Being a civil engineer myself, I wanted to design, construct and do landscaping of our Dream House. It was a spacious Villa with 4200 sq.ft. of floor area. We really liked it.

My Dream Project: McGlan Pharmaceuticals (P) Ltd. The experience and opportunities that I got while serving in the army, increased my confidence level and I was quite confident that I could do very well outside the Army Life. So with great courage I took premature retirement from the army after 20 years of service with retirement benefits.

After my early re tirement I conceptualized, designed and set up a pharmaceutical company (McGlan Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd.) in July 1988. I was the founder Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). The project was executed in a remarkably short period of eight months and carried out further expansion/ diversification including new product development, export, and maintenance till September 1995.

To Become A Published Author: Most of you know me by now. It was one of my Dreams to become a ‘Published Author’. Writing is my Passion and all through my hectic life I always found time for writing. I used to write on topics that come to my mind. And I waited for that moment when I become a Published Author. But it never came until very recently. I published a fiction, a suspense thriller titled ” The Rising Tower – A theme that bring the world community together” , among others, on Kindle.Amazon Direct publishing. Today I have an Authors’ Page on Amazon.com .

Making Things Happen: With the invent of Information Technology and Internet, I also had some dreams which I wanted to materialise. Owning a website with a meaningful purpose, Photography and videography as my hobbies, I wanted to create good videos and I wanted to upload them on my YouTube channel : www.Youtube.com/georgecmaliakal Also wanted to show my presence on various Social Net Working Sites. And I worked hard to make my these dreams happen. And I am so happy today.
